Undeniably powerful satire in the sense of how it manages to convey so many recognizable shit from our damned time into the screen as organized chaos filtered by straightforward storytelling (kinda like 'what if Korine made PTA's shittiest film?') -- from AI helping business to wipe out what's left of nature and traditional communities to absence of normality in politics, not to mention fake news and internet totally destroying the very fabric of society and our ways to communicate with each other --, but problem is I had to watch it all through Aster's totalizing vision -- and that's always a tough experience. Idk why, but it got me thinking about Bonello's The Beast -- a much better film on the very same vibes and troubles and the anguish of having to live in this agonizing world where every day feels like the doomsday, I guess.
