It might not rank among Woo's best, but holy shit what a showcase of what actioner undisputed revolutionary goat would come up with in the next decades. Equal parts brutal -- endless dismemberments and men getting exploded/shot at close range --, tender -- kid saving dad all by himself omg so cute --, funny -- gambling mercenary who can't stop winning -- and even sexy -- ok, he allegedly didn't direct this stuff, but who cares -- men-on-a-mission bloodshed fest. Unbelievable amount of extras and death drive set pieces and both goofy and unhinged interactions in less than 90 minutes.
