Nobody Knows

nobody knows follows four kids who have been abandoned in their apartment by their mother and are left to fend for themselves and survive on their own.
what a heartfelt, bittersweet, tragic, heartbreaking film. the happiness in the children's eyes when they first arrive in the apartment, (stuffed in suitcases & secretly transported there), contrasted with the pure sadness to when their little sister dies of malnourishment because they ran out of food and money is truly devastating. their wicked mother leaves them to the elements while she runs off and marries another man, all the while her four kids are starving and dying and barely scraping by. i'm struggling to write a proper review, because this not a regular movie.
