Awful, crass, gross nonsense. The concept of a 1800s reality TV show is hilarious, but it’s a shame they erred more on the side of reality TV trashiness than Victorian-era stuffiness. Making it deadpan, seriously acted & less shrieky would have been great, but it’s less like the Office (semi-subtle) & more like Reno 911 (slapstick) or Punch & Judy.

It's good at times, and Natasha Leggero (who I've never really noticed before) is so enormously funny and endearing that it's a surprise she's not in more stuff, but the premise limits the comedy too much. It's kinda like that episode of The Simpsons where they have to live in the old-timey house but live action and ten times longer. I haven't finished the first season yet and probably never will.

Getting pretty bored of seeing this same fairly small company of alt-comedy actors continually hopping between all each other's projects. Where's the fresh comedic voices?
