Blue Eye Samurai

Made it to episode 4. Excellent premise and animation, ruined (as usual) by extreme misandry. Tl;dr: women are inspiring and complex, men are shallow and evil; I lost count how many times someone remarked on how terrible all men are and how oppressed all women are. The main antagonist is a European man (the only one so far), and everyone keeps talking about how much of an evil monster he is. There's a lot more, but you get the point. The writers' hate is ever present. Look for it and you'll see.

This show features one of the coolest, most breathtaking styles of animation I've ever seen. They also do not shy away from gore and mature themes. This show is not for kids and it's better for it. It doesn't just have shock value for the sake of it, it pushes the plot forward. The main character, Mizu, is one of the better female protagonists I've seen and steals the show through and through.

Yes, please, let's continue the never-ending, 15-year-slop where men are either evil, possessive, or handicapped (one of the men has no hands, get it?). The main antagonist is portrayed as a bad version of Star Wars' The Emperor, and I guess Scottish, which for its time period I would have expected Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian. The animation is beautiful. But this post-modern drama leaves me sore and bored.

Astounding animation, amazing premise.

It's beautiful to watch and it has a straightforward yet endearing story. The only downside of it, there are so many unrealistic points that you just need to swallow.
