Just delightful.

I probably enjoyed this a bit too much for something as stupid as it, and I think that is part of the charm. It doesn't really take itself too seriously, but I was quite invested by the end, when the stakes were higher.

There's lots of cartoons I love that alternate zany nonsense with serious drama, and that's clearly what Centaurworld is going for, but it really, really doesn't work here. Horse and Wammawink are fine, but I couldn't stand any of the other members of the central group, and we spend so much time with them that it wound up ruining the whole show for me.

Centaurworld can often seem like an obnoxious indulgence of the most irritating camp stereotypes masked in self-affirmation songs. In all honesty, it's not that bad but the characters are written and sound like mediocre Wiig-era SNL efforts. There are a few interesting ideas that come through by the end of S01 and some of the (too many) songs are catchy and well-written; so hopefully it will continue in this direction going forward.
