The openness of the conversations when the perp thought he had immunity were an interesting change. Got a kick out of the tuxedo reveal too.

It's always tough for me to rate old controversial media. Because while there was certainly an undeserved hubris to them making an episode of Middle East political intrigue, the way the episode plays out is somewhat informative of the incoherent mentality of American audiences in the 70s. Besides controversy, the actual investigation part of the episode is solid and Columbo's interactions with the killer seem fine. If I had experience with Arab culture I would probably find it lacking.
