It's unfortunate how many young people will likely miss this masterpiece - a murder mystery where you know who did it from the start. I imagine the plot would feel too slow for "modern era"...

Wonderful. There is nothing like it.

Columbo is a series I am happy to say I've completed. It isn't perfect, especially the post 70's era episodes. There is a unique sort of charm, some call it a "spirit" to Columbo. The bumbling, chatty, ill-fitted suit wearing detective who slowly unravels the patience of the arrogant wealthy. At some point Columbo becomes a caricature of himself. The gags less subtle, the tone less serious, the cases phoned in. If it weren't for these episodes, I'd rate Columbo as high as a 75.

It's ok. So this show you don't know who the murderer is. It's one of these shows kind of like Magnum Pi where you know who did it at the end of the episodes. This is good as this guy Columbo is a smart ass with all his investigations.
