Well as far as planned murders go, this requires the highest level of skill. Nimoy excels in his guest star role and the story has all the elements that make the Columbo series entertaining... and maybe one of the closest calls for Columbo!

If you want a cold, clever and emotionless nemesis, you can't go wrong with Nimoy.

This is the third Columbo episode I've rated this highly. Nimoy played a perfect cold and calculating doctor. The interactions were great, the narrative was solid, and the conclusion didn't rely on any of Columbo's misdirection asspulls. And just one more thing...

Great guest star performance by Nimoy, but not one of the best plot revelations of Columbo. Another one of those Columbo surprises us by getting a little nasty moments included.

Almost bested by Spock, but Columbo comes through again!

Worth it to see Leonard Nimoy when he was younger. One of my favourite Columbo episodes! Don't expect to see 'real medicine', but is Columbo 'real detective work'?

A really, really good one, guest starring Leonard Nimoy.
