A rather thin tale, trying to make something out of the fact that numerous girls were killed in similar locations across a period of years and decades – making rather too much of it, in fact. What is constantly reiterated is that we/they are “never giving up” – which does not seem terribly interesting or significant, or even necessarily praiseworthy. Hollandsworth has a mellifluous voice but Casey comes across as trying too hard to conceal how much she enjoys talking on camera about crime.

After three episodes and over two hours of this I still feel as clueless as to what went on as I was at the beginning. A godawful confusing mess - presumably edited by a cokehead - that throws suspects, victims and family members at you left right and centre, the focus and timeline jumping around all over the place and making it virtually impossible to follow anything. Very limited in actual detail, and only tells a fraction of the story too. Quite possibly the worst docu-series I’ve ever seen.
