A state-of-the-art bionic dog, capable of amazing feats - he can run almost as fast as a dog, tug on things with his teeth, and jump over small objects. But he only features in the movie for about 10 minutes and most of that is slo-mo shots of him running or panting, peeing like a lady dog and lots of other behaviour that's more mutt than cyber. Forgettable trash.

A nice, inoffensive film with a cute dog. The only darkness is the mother who is a bitter man-hating bitch whose staggeringly inept attempt to explain the death of her husband to their son backfires so badly that he ends up traumatised and unable to trust anyone except his dog. She hides her disdain for all men well but it is there until the film requires that she fall for the eccentric scientist to give us a happy ending. Entirely expected, but it doesn't sit right when it happens.

It is called "Cybermutt," it stars Judd Nelson, and the DVD cover is a picture of a dog wearing sunglasses and flexing a big fat Popeye bicep. Dude.
