Deeper anime, not the usual frivolous kind. 'Modern' animation & well done. Tipar's review is close to the mark IMO. In contrast though, I thought it was pretty "awesome", doing what only a few anime do - making you feel for some of the characters. If you like the first few eps watch its genesis, an animated movie called Death Billiards - but not (IMO) after watching more than 7 of DP.... then finish DP. Also if these appealed watch KDrama (which I normally dislike) non-animated Hotel Del Luna.

Unfocused and riddled with fillers that ultimately don't go anywhere. It failed to keep me interested and I struggled through its 12 episodes over the course of few months. Some interesting premises but it failed to make me connect with characters. I also didn't care much for the art style - I mean all of the characters have weak chins - seriously? Couldn't the artist design a bit, expand on the visual range?

Pretty good, maybe some unnecessary filler bits but not overbearing with it. Does have some cliche moralism thats moooostly in one episode concerning vengeance, when the characters are 100% justified in their feelings and actions and the show unsurprisingly does the cliche thing and tries to spin a yarn that they were wrong for it. Basic childrens book bs. Overall though some good stuff, could have went longer with more in depth narratives to episodic char's though.

Interesting is fair enough. I was expecting something more awesome but at the end is like any other anime. There is not any kind of Horror there, but any, seriously if you are looking for Horror you are going to be disappointed. I think is "seinen" because the thematics are more mature and there are not young protagonists forming a team and such as in "shonen" but not sure about that. The anime itself is about the judges and not about the people who arrive there although their stories are shown.
