Eureka Seven

I don't get the hype; there wasn't a single likable character in the entire show - the worst being Holland, a whiny manchild who vented his frustration by beating up kids (seriously) and the vast majority of the supporting characters are one-note and contribute nothing to the plot - the story itself was nothing to write home about and dragged on for far too long, and the action was bland and unmemorable. It's a shame because the concept of surfing mechs is a cool one, and it had nice music.
