Starts off with space travel but quickly veers of into be more of a regular drama show after a couple of episodes. The space part is still there but it feels more of a setting instead of the main focus. Sure it adds a bit extra but could might as well have been a tv show under the sea. FAM suffers from this in s1 as its drama is not interesting enough and neither the story, however s2 remedies this. Sure it's still flawed but a lot more entertaining. Am I excited for S3? No. Will I watch it. Y

At times great. At times super annoying. I hate the female lead. Theres a disconnect of them trying to salvage their character and im like no, fuck this character.

In the top 3 best scifi series ever. Right next to The Expanse and Battlestar Galactica.

I'm so scattered about this one. There is so much fluff melodrama in it that I demand a -nerd cut- which would make it a masterpiece. Especially the first season starts with quite template characters, that it becomes an insider joke how knuckle-headed some are in later seasons. If you can stand all the family affairs bits (which even if rarely has good payoffs), try it. There is nothing quite like it out there that goes all the way in on alternate history.

First season started off slow but took a quick turn. Drama was captivating and each episode was a mystery. The what if adaptation is truly reasonable and innovative in story and character development, for season 1 and season 2.

For all Wokekind.. Days of Our Lives: In Space where the women are in charge and the men are cucks. the space and soviet/us related scenes are interesting enough to keep your interest. u can probably skip thru the marriage and office hem hawing. often watch at 1.5x until something interesting happens. S3: the mars mission improves the story telling .. the small town dramas are replaced with larger corporate/international politics and darker themes.

S1: 75 S2: 65 S3: 60. The trajectory is way downwards as the drama is increased, way too much focus on silly character developments. Still a great fantasy for scifi nerds.

S1 is great, S2 you start getting the sense that the soap opera elements are actively harming the show, S3 it jumps the shark and becomes a soap opera on Mars. I don't hold out much hope that it'll improve in the Jovian system or around the rings of Saturn. That 1983 teaser at the end of S1 when a Godzilla-sized nuclear powered rocket emerges from the ocean while "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" plays is the best the US military-industrial complex has ever looked. Good plot in first season, mixed with some personal drama. After few episodes main plot ends though and personal drama is the only thing remaining, without any major plot line.
