What would have previously been a first-rate "awards" feature is somewhat diluted in a mini-series format; there's just not enough material here to justify 8 hours of screen time without some noticeable repetition. The highlights are so good (Rockwell and Williams are scarily convincing), and the enterprise so good natured, (even while dealing with such flinty, difficult people) that it remains highly watchable and enjoyable. Love Miranda's cameo as Roy Scheider in the climactic episodes!

Here we have proof that "sex" has ALWAYS been used by both sexes (way before the likes of Weinstein and Spacey) to get what they want. The good thing about Fosse is that he was sensible enough to die before his name was hauled through the mud. If you like "All that jazz" and show business type stuff, you will love all this. I did. Williams and Rockwell were truly spectacular. Williams morphing effortlessly into Marge Simpson, and Rockwell convincing us his heart and lungs were about to explode.

A bit redundant but great performances, especially from Michelle Williams.

Just terrific, with strong performances (and an Emmy-worthy Williams the stand-out) and beautiful attention to detail.

Only theatre nerds need apply. I've never even seen "Cabaret" so all of this goes over my head.
