It’s inoffensive but so generic & lacking in nuance, I just don’t see the point. It couldn’t be more on the nose. I kept waiting for some slight twist or nuance, but it never stopped being completely basic & earnest in a way that would have bored me to tears as a child. Like American Girl dolls in the 90s. The art is very pretty, but nothing new.

I started watching this after some YouTube videos hyping it. It slow paced but I like this type of pacing and found it full of interesting characters some not to my taste but the story knows when to change perspectives. The show likes to play with tropes and expectations. First part of season 1 loved it then opening change and a tournament! First few episodes of that I disliked but as it went on I quite liked it. New interesting characters. Will season 2 continues be as good as the first.

The first half exceeded all of my expectations as I entered the anime with complete suspicion, while the second half was just boring and had nothing to do with what made the anime interesting in the first place. From I couldn't wait to continue watching, to I don't care anymore.... E01-1x (8-9/10) ; E1x-28 (5-6/10)

Beautiful, not as fast as others released recently and similar in art styles, but keeping the whole season in mind, it’s something more than worth your time if you enjoy fantasy based quirky stories! Short episodes keep it easy to sit down and watch, and the characters are rich and enjoyable to watch in many ways
