Full Body Massage

It's a pretty boring movie, but it features Mimi Rogers' wonderfully large boobs getting oiled up and rubbed down at regular intervals.

Not nearly as bad as I was expecting, though it really started to lose me when the crystals came out. The damn thing takes Brown's insufferable, self-satisfied character's New Age bullshit way too seriously, and Rogers's character is constantly diagnosed as a broken, empty person seemingly because she's a successful woman. The script is trash, and Roeg's patented flashback structure just doesn't work, and yet it's somehow not a total nightmare to watch. Go figure. (It might have been the tits.)

When this started, I thought "When did Nicolas Roeg start doing soft-core porn for Showtime??" And then the flashbacks started and I rolled my eyes...yet another director that can't just tell a damn story. But then I noticed they were impeccably timed, with purpose. Hard to imagine reacting to Fitch with anything BUT annoyance--you feel as if he should have whiteboard and a pointer for most of his dialogue. But now and then, the exchanges get at some important, real stuff. In the end, not bad.
