3 part documentary series about the geography of the islands, their evolutionary history, and impact on Darwin's theories. Some incredibly detailed and gorgeous HD photography, but it feels like it barely scratches the surface. Especially the first episode which glosses over an incredible number of species with the most cursory information.

Fairly well done and very well photographed 3-part documentary series on the biology of the archipelago, its significance for the development by Charles Darwin of his theories, and its present and future in terms of human impact.

One of the better History Channel productions. There's a true sense of wonder about the nature being depicted - not just pictoral or factoral. And humans, who usually invade these docs and lose the production's focus, are kept to a thankful minimum.
