From the very first episode, Halo makes it clear that it doesn't aim to be a faithful adaptation of the universe millions know from the video game. What we get instead is a different approach—more political, more philosophical, and, in a way, more tailored to television. But in that shift, something essential is lost: the very essence of the game. That intensity, that brutal immersion in a galactic conflict, is missing here. Visually, there’s little to criticize. The production design is strong

Potentially interesting universe completely slaughtered by poor writing and plot.

It's impossible to expect a Halo-ass Halo show because you want the budget for real effects and that pitch would never get past a single producer. What's here is not nearly as bad as I thought and at no time did I ever outright hate the show. At the same time, I'm glad it's over because there was no hope for things getting better on the horizon. It existed to give people a reason to subscribe to a streaming service and that's it.

It was ok. Not great, not terrible. Once I got in a few episodes I had to finish. Would not be crushed if there is no season 2

Unequal and uninventive, but fun overall.

It's pretty bad, but that's the average for this kind of show. It has good intentions and decent production values, but the writing is lacking and some of the acting is too edgy. Some episodes (e.g. 7) are so badly written I can't imagine who would think it was worth producing.

Two episodes in so far, but also very disappointing. While the costume design and cinematography is fantastic, the story itself and a lot of the CGI is terrible. Hopefully things change as the episodes progress.

Will update later based on other episodes but this was excellent to watch. Very much looking forward to watching more of this.

Halo still has a long way to go. The cinematography and the songs are almost perfect, but doesn't this "invincibles" story bore anyone? God, people call art-house movies boring, but they don't mind that a character doesn't get beat. I guess they always want their favorite character to be the strongest and greatest. What a clown move. My rating may up or down later.
