The only fault is the narrative could have been tighter but perhaps that was the idea behind the dark humour. Some moments were truly dark beyond a humourous tone and it was uncomfortable which I believe was also the point. Roberts, Ryan, Gorham and Milano definitely brought the right amount of flare to their respective roles and it certainly allowed the tension to build. Insatiable was far from a show that fat shamed, it truly went dark and showed the consequences of words, thoughts and actions

If you're in the mood for dark comedy, it's a good match. It dabbles into mature issues like race, lgbt, polyamory, cheating, addiction, etc., but it does so in the context of the show without being preachy. Some things are absurd and some of the plot writing is wonky, but in the context of comedy, it fits.

It's better than you probably think it is judging by trailers or posters or whatever. The writing is actually pretty good, and there are a lot of suspenseful situations, and good character handling. There are a few cheesy moments and despite its efforts the show never quite rises to rank higher than some other shows in my list, but for what it wanted to be, it was handled really well. Picture something like Suburgatory, but with a dark twist.

It started off with a lot of potential, a few funny jokes, but the fat suit + CGI Chin on "Fatty Patty" was abysmally poor. And after five episodes it just went stale. And oH BOY the ending... The ending was unsatisfying, it didn't leave me wanting more, and Patty has little to no arc, unless you count killing Stella-Rose and Christian as an arc, which I don't.

Definitely not my cup of tea. Couldn't get into it, thought it was kinda dumb.
