A commendable adaptation of the entire life story of Jesus Christ, including the birth and resurrection stories. Ian Holm is the absolute standout as the messenger of the Sanhedrin, but really all the performances are just stellar. Well worth seeing.

See this Mel Gibson? You can do this story without it becoming a snuff film. That said, I will always start humming "Always look on the Bright Side..." at the crucifixation.
