A race of cannibal monsters called the Shokujinki exists and it is the job of the Kifuuken, an elite group of beast-hunters, to stop them. Momota Toshihiko, an expert swordsman and son of the Kifuuken organization's leader, unexpectedly falls in love at first sight with a beautiful girl named Yuka. However, the couple's relationship is much more complicated than it seems at first glance, for Yuka is a Shokujinki. (anidb.net)

Star-crossed lovers, one a monster and the other a monster-hunter. It's weird in a bad way, and doesn't work well at times, but if you enjoy Yuasa's style you are likely to enjoy this one too.

Crazy, bizarre, but stylish and entertaining series, just what one would expect from Masaaki Yuasa. Does a really good job of making the main antagonist the most over-the-top asshole imaginable without it feeling false or forced. But the finale isn't quite up to snuff with the events that proceed it, harming this a bit.

Slow beginning and terrible ending lets down this show. Despite that I did enjoy Kemonozume a lot and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends. It's just a pity it's not all as good as episode six.
