Seasons 1 and 2 are quite amazing. You should skip the third though.

There is a big hole in the plot, something which never gets clarified even at the end of the season 1. Otherwise I would have given a higher score.

It starts out interesting and solid, but by the end of season 2 it become a lot of the same and tiresome. But then Season 3 really kicked it into high gear and became better than anything that had come before. I really like Anna Friel in this, but I could have enjoyed it more with a little less mental breakdown dreamscape scenes. Worthwhile.

It's definitely interesting, but has some major flaws. The police work for one, is abysmal. [Spoiler] Basic things like checking who the fetus' father is. Then, they pump new characters in the show almost every three minutes. And finally, the main character is, to put it mildly, pathetic. All of her decisions are extremely emotional and from a dark, sad place. The third season is quite different, but still good enough. One question remains throughout though - why isn't she on antidepressants?
