The quintessential Danish TV series, and probably the single most broadly beloved piece of culture to be produced in this country in the 20th century. It may be a bit stilted but if you (for whatever weird reason) want to learn about life in Denmark before, during and after the second world war, this is charming and easily digestable way of doing it.

Effective capitalist propaganda with nationalistic undertones. It has probably the best cast in Danish TV history along with immaculate set design and costumes, so it does have that going for it.

This beloved Danish classic is a cozy chronicle that's carried by an excellent ensemble. Kjærulff-Schmidt's character is perhaps the most priceless but the ones played by Olesen, Nørby, Buckhøj, Schwartz and Juul Hansen are highly memorable too.

Finally got around to watching this Danish national treasure, which should keep the Ministry of Integration from kicking me out despite my mixed origins. Sarcasm aside, it really is worth watching. The plot gets convoluted now and then, but the casting nails it with every single character and it's always interesting to watch with lots of memorable lines and scenes.
