Made the most of the charms of the two leads, and showed an admirable willingness to play around with convention. Ending the sexual tension between the main protagonists by having them consummate their seemingly endless courtship proved to be a disastrously short-sighted ploy. I also recall the writers' strike may have had some kind of impact.
