Points for effort here, but this TV miniseries was completely undone by it's paltry budget. Great fantasy ideas are rendered silly and toothless by cheap production values. Still worth a look for fans of Gaiman. He wrote the screenplay first, and later adapted it to a novel after the show had been broadcast, so it's technically NOT an adaptation of the book (the book is much more enjoyable).

the book is better, but this is a very good and interesting film. I think is a was a hard thing to put in film and they manage to do it right.

Don't let the appearance fool you, this short BBC mini-series executes the Gaiman story to near-perfection.

Low budget, but great effort brings a great book to life.

The Side-Kick "Hunter" basically ruined the entire movie. She's 100% irritating.

Cracking adaptation, only let down by the budget. Still, if Netflix are willing to spend however much on The Sandman, maybe they'll do this next. Not sure how they cast better actors for the Maquis, Croup, Vandemar, Angel, ... but I'm willing to see it. This is the series that made me want Patterson Joseph as The Doctor.
