While all makeover shows set out to makeover individuals, the Queer Eye remake sets out to makeover the entire world. Teaching us how to spread compassion, confidence, empathy, self-sufficiency and healthy masculinity in our everyday lives. I'm fully aware of how sentimental this review sounds, but considering almost every single episode made me cry, this sentimentality is fully earned. I've watched other shows that have made me cry, but never one that's made me a better person as well.

I genuinely like this show because it has a heart and the Fab Five seem to genuinely want to help people make a difference in their lives

My current fantasy is to be pampered for a day by the Fab Five. They bring so much good energy and positivity and freaking love everywhere. I want JVN to do my hair, while Bobby does my apartment, Karamo motivates me in my writing and Antoni teaches me what to cook when depressed. Tan can give me his shopping budget, I can take it from there. But seriously, this lovely show about confidence and empathy and love makes me cry and heals me a little each time.

[through season 8] In early seasons, it has a heartfelt, addictive quality that passes on some important messages, but it's also just straight-up capitalist propaganda a lot of the time. Later seasons (around season 5 or 6?) have a marked drop in quality, with product placement becoming egregious and the whole production feeling tense and rushed.
