Suffers from a drop-off in quality later on, but the original run of Ranma is definitely one of the better comedy animes out there. More than just another harem show, Ranma is instead more like a Japanese It's Always Sunny, where terrible people are terrible to each other and it's entertaining how terrible they are. Manages to make Ranma (the person) being forced to change physical sex back and forth repeatedly novel and hilarious. Shallow, but earns the right to be so.

I don't know why I started watching this show randomly as a 34 year old man. Actually, yes I do. #pandemic. It's charming and ridiculous and it was fun to watch during quarantine.

Yappa pa, yappa pa, iishanten! Honestly, I dunno, it was really fun and charming at its best, but, like many older animes (and some today), it blew all its charm by running for five billion episodes. I have some nostalgia for it, but not tons. Theme song is the catchiest shit ever though.

A classic. Popular Japanese show preaching gender-fluidity to little children. And I was so in love with Shampoo.
