Charlie Brooker being his brilliant, snarky, hilarious self. TV may seem too easy a target to some, but his razor-sharp wit is almost always spot-on--it only dulls a bit in the last season. But that last season does include a fascinating episode that consists of interviews with various television writers (including Jesse Armstrong and Russell Davies) about their careers, work, and creative process.

Fun stuff. It's admittedly infotainment, but it sure is infotaining. I'm a big fan of Brooker in front of the camera, his sardonic British wit is perfect for TV, and he's constantly layering on the deprecation (sometimes on himself). Also worth watching for some of the guest appearances, like some short segments from Adam Curtis.

(Based on 3 episodes from different seasons) Too circlejerky, edgy and self-indulgent because ultimately, the criticisms and commentary are by far not interesting enough to legitimize the attitude with which they are presented.

Recent efforts have lacked the fizzy punch and originality of the first couple of series, but 'Sceenwipe' remains a welcome break from the benignity of much of the Beebs current output.

A hybrid of TV Burp and The Culture Show, like it.
