Shining Girls

There are some jarring tonal shifts and it's kind of a shame that a show with time travel and quantum entanglement falls flat when it comes to the characters and the tension (which deflates quite soon). But all in all a solid time.

To me, a big timetravelhead, this is as fun as a popcorn timetravel-story gets. Driven by very fine acting; especially Jamie Bell brought an unexpected amount of chill to his role. Moss is always good. It's intruiging enough to forgive some of the lesser elements (trope-y music here and there taking some mystery and creepiness away) and I wouldn't mind a second season if it's written this well.

Solid show. You must be a patient while you're watching Shining Girls because atmosphere is so slow. However, casting is great and also story is gripping. Elizabeth Moss' performance is so strong, it's a huge pleasure to see her -our Peggy Olson- career come to this level. Wagner Moura's performance is also great but how about Jamie Bell? He has an incredible charisma. Stunning look and quite scary antagonist. I wish there was a little less runtime for Shining Girls. Sometimes 60m is exhausting.
