A stupid but fun show that fell on its face hard in its fifth season.

a fun shonen about an indomitable kid and a love for food and friendship. later seasons lose sight of this and go in on extra generational plotlines and pure battles. on one hand the horniness communicates a lust for, and carnal pleasure in food; on the other hand it's creepy as hell, especially with high schoolers. Just amazing, interesting and fun first 3 Plates, loved it ~80+ But the 4th Plate was just boring because 12 episodes exactly the same happened and the food orgasms were simply exaggerated in their use. And then, the 5th Plate was just shit, at first started really well with 2-3 episodes, then just became nonsense and contradicted everything that was previously in the anime, I didn't like it at all, a silly and not worthy ending, which this anime didn't deserve.

I don't know what the heck is going on with the plot. I honestly don't even care. This elevates eating chips on the sofa to a divine dimension. This is not a food show. This is food erotica. Steamy. Hot. So goddamn hot. Sizzling. Salivating. After having seen this, I can completely understand why someone would actually attempt coitus with an apple pie.

I dropped it 2015 after S1 (which was an 8/10). The story starts well. However, once season 1 finished, I read the manga and subsequently dropped it a bit after Azami arrived (anime equivalent of S3 Part 2) and lowered my rating. It jumps the shark shortly after he arrives.
