The early 90s was absolutely obsessed with kids in wheelchairs and hacking. Stepfather 3 does it all. The kid in this is Wheels from the Burger King Kids Club. Jerry changed his name to Gene in part 2 and now he has become ... ... KEITH. The absolute worst name but perfect for a step-dad. Keith is a name that smells like a cheap beer burp. The absolute trust the mom has in this movie is astonishing- the local priest is the babysitter. Jerry just eating out of flat open palms.

With the third installment, this horror series might possibly be the first one to begin at rock bottom and stay there for the duration. Which, if you're a glass half full type means, that having been able to sit through the first one, you can take solace in knowing that they don't actually get any worse. As the equally dubious cherry on top, this one replaces Terry O'Quinn with Robert Wrightman, who, consequently, is the replacement John Boy from The Waltons. That's short stumble to mediocrity.
