A crime dramedy very comparable to (and highly recommended to fans of) Justified. The two leads have so much chemistry that right off the bat it feels like they've been doing this for ages. The cancellation of this show is a crime against humanity.

A very well-plotted and well-paced mystery show with a great atmosphere of pure Americana. This is a career high from Donal Logue, and the chemistry between him and Michael Raymond-James is just terrific. There are cases of the week, but they mostly work, and the season-ending arc is gripping as hell. Too bad it got canned.

This is a very enjoyable show that, unfortunately, got canned after only one season. Fortunately, that season wrapped up in a pretty satisfying manner, so it's still worth watching. It's got a lot of likeable characters with great chemistry and heaps of snappy dialog. The tone and setting are light and airy, but the actual plot gets quite dark and heavy from time to time. It's great if you're looking for a low commitment binge-watch on Netflix.

The two leads are charming.

Wildly inconsistent but it has the too cool feel that really kept you watching for those really great moments. Deserved to be continued.

What the fuck is going on!?! Probable score: 82!!? Errr no. Admittedly I only got half way through episode 1, but good lord there's a reason. Someone has to stop the bleeding. If like me you find yourself here thinking this sounds awful but wonder why it comes 'recommended', do not pass go, your instincts are correct. Let the pointless cliche festival be forgot.

The best moments are incredible but there are plenty of boring parts, especially around the middle. It has one foot in the world of sophisticated HBO stuff while the other's in the more pulpy world of genre cable drama -- frankly, it should have committed more to the latter. On the whole, though, it's a quality drama, notable mostly for having one of the most ludicrously imbalanced quality to viewership ratios of all time.

probably the best one-season-only show you'll find.
