Two US navy divers discover the legendary Nautilus by accident, and upon exploring the vessel accidentally release Captain Nemo from cryogenic suspension. Shortly Nemo and his Victorian-era but still extremely advanced submarine are recruited to battle an evil scientist, threatening to unleash his Doomsday device on Washington, DC, unless he's paid a billion dollars in ransom.
The movie was a pilot for an action-series called The Amazing Captain Nemo, but re-edited for cinematic release.
