The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

Interminable nicecore treacle comprised almost entirely of characters trading greeting-card platitudes like "Always remember, you're enough just as you are" and "home isn't always a place."

Is this what counts for a fable these days? A boy (who is very lightly dressed for winter and looking for a home, and well, aren't we all?), a mole, a fox, and a horse/pegasus are best friends and say platitudes to each other. Homely animated pap.

metaphors were too opaque for me. he falls off the horse and cries but then he gets back on the horse, can anyone tell me what this signified?

If at first you don't succeed, have some cake.

What a gorgeous little film about the inherent value of everybody. A poignant tale of the value of the person, the crown of creation, as the psalmist states. It's a story about friendship, forgiveness, kindness, acceptance, despite ones oddities, the search for home, the longing for the Lost Paradise, the unity of all, the pure desire and love for the other. "Nobody ever gets saved alone," say the Church fathers, lest we become one in Christ. Beautiful, children and adults alike should watch it.
