I'm rating this harshly because I've got Nordic noir fatigue, but it's like catnip to my SO & in-laws. At this point it's the same goddamn plot every time, with some minor allowance that in this one it's not set in the depths of winter.

A very good thriller. Starts a bit slow but grows sinister and interesting after few chapters. Some of the scenes are still with me.

SPOILER*Standard Scandinavian dread. Beautiful people in beautiful nature surrounded by grey and dead. Nothing new, but it hasn't grown old (yet). Entertaining, and sometimes-for TV-quite gory. What drags this thing down is one segment in the finale: the girl casually shatters a car window with her elbow. Rarely I've been dragged out of my suspension of disbelief so hard. Online there's tons of vids of kids/pets in cars: you need basically 3 buff guys, a brick, 5 minutes and a crowbar.

Well done and grounded mystery. The ending could have been better but it wasn't bad.

Not terribly original but a decent beef and potato crime thriller.
