Not bad. Entertaining.. Good acting. Decent story

addictive and refreshing for the genre

Some part of the show are hard to watch. But the way the music, the photography, the dialogues, the silences, the acting of the 2 leads all interact pulled me in completely. The depiction of native characters having to find their way and try to keep their dignity in a world that is wiping out their history and cutting all their roots is also fascinating and thought-provoking.

Good cast, nasty violent, as one might expect for the times.

Revenge story, western style, but modern and decolonial. Nice story, once you manage to piece it all together. Chill pace, as did the westerns of yore, but never boring. Beautiful cinematography. Maybe a few too many distractions and side characters at times, but it works out and is a really good watch.

One of the few "mini series" that had an ending which was well thought out; whilst somewhat "anticlimactic" in terms of action, nonetheless it was a superb climax ... poignant, sad and real. The English is far from an easy watch; its story arc has flashbacks, new and somewhat confusing characters, and on ocassion, a hideous muffled audio but it is made up for with superb and often beautiful visuals, excellent acting (Spall was obviously cheaper than Tom Hardy) and a terrific story. Worth a look.
