Is it just because I've watched a half dozen or so MST3K features in a row, or is Attack Of The The Eye Creatures actually not THAT THAT awful? Don't get me wrong, it's capital B Bad, but there's there's a certain charm to its 50s throwback feel (in 1965!) and jaded cops that that may not be deliberate but still has... well something thing.

Remarkably inept stab at horror comedy, featuring some ludicrous acting throughout. Also featuring endless day-for-days, a guy wearing a Rubik's-cube nightgown, and a girl whose hair looks (I swear) like a dickhead. The title creatures resemble walking Rice-Krispies-&-marshmallow clusters (btw apparently all you had to do to defeat them was wait for the sun to rise). Still, at least there was old man Bailey and his shotgun. One of the lamest MSTs too, annoyingly priggish and unfunny.

"Attack of the Eye Creatures" struggles under budget constraints, resulting in dialogue lacking natural flow and scenes shrouded in inadequate nighttime lighting. The casting choices are unconvincing, with actors far beyond their teenage years portraying youth, and the creature effects fail to suspend disbelief, tipping into the realm of the absurd.
