Despite excellent performances from Bixby & Sullivan (Bixby's haunted widower & Sullivan's steadfast friend are always compelling) the first 2/3rds of this doesn't hold up well: viewers already familiar with the Hulk or the series will spend most of that time waiting for the characters to figure out what we already know & for the monster to show up. However, once the creature interacts w/ Sullivan, things become less predictable & it ends in surprisingly moving ways - ways films don't anymore.

A great introduction to the series. Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby are still The Hulk and David Bruce Banner in my eyes.

Way better than a 1977 TV movie should have been. Amazingly, Lou Ferrigno is the weakest part but that's probably because he's so young at this point.

So melodramatic with its sad piano score, but there were moments of entertainment to be found.
