The Kids in the Hall

much like the original series it's hit and miss but when it hits, it really hits.

It's easy to forget how hit & miss the original series, like all sketch comedy, could be. However, it's hard not to be a bit disappointed by the low hit rate of this reboot. It's nice to see the Kids given a chance to work with higher budgets & loosened content restrictions, though. Episode 3 is excellent; episode 8 also very good.

The wig budget on this show must be insane, but the merkin budget was obviously way too low. I was extra surprised to see this show actually come out because I happened to be in the audience for a live show that Dave Foley showed up to by surprise a few years ago, and he was shit-talking the other kids in the hall the whole time and saying he would never work with them again. If I recall correctly, he specifically called Bruce McCulloch an asshole and said Kevin McDonald was the only nice one
