Consistently interesting series of three cinematic essays about history and memory. Note that some material from the second episode is re-used in THE CENTURY OF THE SELF.

Not quite as substantial as some of his other works; I think Curtis skips around a bit too much at times, especially in the first film, and his trademark re-purposing of pop culture video clips sometimes seems a bit glib. However, each of the 3 films is better than the previous and as a whole it's a very compelling work.

Another richly intellectual yet enjoyable and even humorous documentary from Adam Curtis

Feel good history never felt so better used than what Curtis is showing us: effective nationalism, the glorious past put on a pedestal by sculptors of mediocre talent. It hardly makes you think since you are spoon fed all the juicy bits, but it makes you want more.
