If this were a theatrical release I'd probably be harsher on the melodrama, but that this was made with the same kind of budget you see in a Sci-Fi channel film by the guy who directed Duran Duran videos is impressive.

Surprisingly well done for a made-for-TV war film. There's a real sense of grim circumstances the men of WWI fought in. While I can't deny The Lost Battalion dives into scenes of melodramatic cliche in points they never affect the movie in a dramatically negative fashion. If you want to know if this a made for TV film worth watching I can assure you that, while not great, it's definitely worth seeing.

War is long periods of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror, but this movie has few breaks from sheer terror... Bravo!

"The Lost Battalion" is a war film with intense action and larger-than-life heroics. While it's watchable, it doesn't leave a lasting impression. The movie focuses heavily on the major, failing to develop a strong connection with other characters.
