Oi! We got us a RIPPAH Fab?! There are probably premade spooky Netflix credits for every serial killer and ones we dont even know of yet. Absolutely gobsmacked that the news of the time covered these murders with the same gravitas of the golden Wonka tickets being found.

People who complain about the overt feminist tones of this series are missing the fact that not only were all of this killers victims chosen and killed because they were women, but their investigations were held up and clearly mishandled for the very same reason. The series may only be competently made, but its story shows us very clearly how sexism and misogyny lead to acts of unforgivable cruelty.

Decent doc, marred by unnecessary feminist propaganda. Also, no mention of the Savile connection.

It's always funny with cases like these as it seemingly always comes down to an argument over insanity. Isn't someone who does these sort of crimes inherently insane? Its absurd that if he had got caught after murdering one person he would have gotten a harsher punishment due to that being, apparently, a normal and unsane act. But since he was caught after 13 he can argue insanity. Reality can feel like a Monty Python skit sometimes.

Competent rundown of Sutcliffe's killings, presented in the chronological order of the investigation. Despite the fact you can watch it all in one sitting it goes into depth with plenty of talking heads - but you're unlikely to learn anything new if you're familiar with the murders. Lets itself down with its very 2020 feminist viewpoint though, which is questionable in parts, downright stupid and insulting in others, and leaves a rather bitter taste in the mouth that was wholly avoidable.
