Didn't actually realise this was a television movie, I must therefore give some bonus points for excellent production value . The story, being a reasonably authentic portrayal of 1940s Italy and The Scarlet Pimpernel, has an abundance of merit as an educational piece. By about two thirds in the pace quickens up, The Scarlet has a rather intriguing moral dilemma in which he must contend with, such a poignant scene. The acting is of the highest quality. Not a perfect film, but thoroughly competent

Rip no PirateBay.

Absolutely one of the best TV movies I have ever seen. What a production and with major stars. It's quite a story too.

A priest at the Vatican conspires to save people from brutal German occupiers. A true story told with some grace and a dose of religious dogma. Gregory Peck was charismatic in the role. Christopher Plummer was also convincing as the harsh but frustrated German Kernel. A bit dated, somewhat interesting at times, but lacks action and excitement.

Come take a ride through revisionist history with Gregory Peck's carnival of bad accents.

Quite a simple plot and I'm not sure they have their facts right, but Christopher Plummer amazed me. He's not singing "Edelweiss" this time.
