While the early parts of the season have a seemingly more "objective" perspective than other singing competitions, The Voice suffers greatly from having an anxious, rushed host in Carson Daly and a late-season format that gets a bit convoluted with all the switching of teams. However, I have finished more season of this than I have of Idol in the last decade, and I enjoy the chemistry of the coaches more as well.

Way better than the others of its ilk; seems more objective & less formulaic & Levine is actually human and likable as a judge.

the quality of the talent has gotten better the last several seasons. Also good that they structure it so judges have at least one in the semis. But knowing the fix the outcomes deflates the whole thing.
