I could not get through the 2nd episode. The scenes drag, and the music doesn't seem to match what is happening, and the editing is all over the place. I don't know the language, so it's harder to judge the acting, but it felt flat to me.

A decent show but the director's version cuts the episodes from 30 to 26 and yet it is still somehow slower than just reading the actual book. In fact at a normal reading pace, you can just read the first book in roughly half the length of the runtime of the shorter director's version of the show and it's not exactly a fast-paced book either.

Far superior to the American version, this Chinese sci-fi series is also superior to ANYTHING Hollywood has ever done.

Had a lot going for it that was dragged down by it's unnecessarily long episode count. Still entertaining, I just feel like I could read the book faster than they told the story on the screen.

I didn't mind the slow pacing at the start, but after episode 10 it started to get real unnecessary with how much it dragged on. I think the show is impressive given the alleged budget.

On 4th or 5th episode but it is really really slow, I probably won't continue. Nearly every episode could be done in 10 minutes instead of 40.

Not sure what to think of this. I love the story, and the TV show stays close to it. Yet, it sometimes feels like they used a sledgehammer to craft this adaptation. I think, overall, I enjoyed it, though.
