Leaving League of Legends was the best thing to happen to Dunkey. VideoGameDunkey is sometimes genuinely brilliant, having deep insights into complicated ideas like criticism and critics, films, and video game designs that even more established analysts can't grasp. He also makes some very dumb videos that I can't stand. I keep watching because the moments of brilliance are higher than the lows are low. Plus, I'll also back a fellow Wisconsinite who doesn't play into stereotypes.

I use to watch Dunkey regularly when he was making League content but he has since lost value to me. As a comedy act, he sometimes hits but makes the same shitty jokes every video. His analysis is just bad - he acts like he's a great critic and above mainstream game journalists, but fundamentally what he actually says in his "analysis" isn't any less lacking in substance. He mistakes "honesty" with valuable insight, and his pretentious ego has made him extremely insufferable.
