High-budget, heavily over-edited, by the same director that got Donald Rumsfeld to say a whole lot of nothing a few years before. It's twice as long as it needed to be, like most docuseries today, and is filled with "re-enactments" that have little basis in truth.

The recreations are visually interesting, extremely well shot with fantastic production design, but most if not all of the intrigue and general information comes from the documentary portion. An engaging story to be sure.

Too artsy-fartsy by half...I kept wanting it to just tell the damn story, which is a compelling one. Tighten up the editing--a LOT--and cut out almost of all of the re-enactments and you might really have something.

Another highly valuable work by Errol Morris. It helps that the hero of the saga, Eric Olson, is so brilliant. The staged reenactments seemed a little fillery at points.

Errol Morris' magnum opus. The true crime documentary equivalent of David Lynch making Twin Peaks: The Return, topping and refining everything he's made before in one season of prestige television.

Another fine Morris documentary about the tragic consequences of obsession, as well as about tragedy in general, along with the CIA, journalism and numerous other themes. Perhaps the re-enactments could have been pared back just a little, and it seemed on this viewer's screen as if the blues may have been dialled up a tad too high, but this builds and builds and the final episode succeeds in being the most interesting of the six.

Görsel dili, olson'in ilgi çekici anlaticiligiyla birleştirme basarisi sürükleyiciliği hikayedeki mevcut yönünden daha yukarı çekmeyi beceriyor. farkli anlatım olanaklarını bu derece iyi harmanlayıp şok vb. duygulanım yaratma hırsı olmadan hikayeyi insani yönleriyle vurgulayıp anlatışı harika. hele kişiseli genel siyaset içerisinde konumlandırışı ve hikayenin içkin sinematikliğini referanslarla desteklerken gerçeklikten kopmayışı...

Errol Morris is one the greatest story tellers and directors ever. This is his finest work as well.
