WrestleMania VI

The WWF clearly started feeling threatened by WCW right about here. The matches start to feel more like Jim Crockett matches, with use of color and overlong battles of attrition. The outcome of the main event marked the end of the 1980s pro-wrestling boom, and one can see why. McMahon put all his effort into a push that he couldn't quite get over. Also, that half-blackface thing Roddy Piper did... holy shit.

I will never say I am an Ultimate Warrior or Hulk Hogan fan but they put on a great main event here. Add to that the typical Wrestlemania card of mostly solid matches and you have yourself a winner of a PPV.

Main event was interesting. Ic title vs wwe title. Piper being racist here as he colors himself half black, Miss Elizabeth is like a focal point and Giant turning face. Everything else was trash. Still everybody doesn't have their own entrance theme music. Koko just lost when a submission is put on him meanwhile you had to raise Hogan's hand 3 times for that. So many matches on this card you just don't care about or will forget. Rythm and Blues singing.
