Upcoming Nicolas Winding Refn film

"Only God Forgives" is filming now, for a late 2012 release.

Ryan Gosling plays a guy who owns a Muay Thai gym in Bangkok, who challenges the cop who murdered his brother to a Thai boxing match. Gosling doing Muay Thai? I'm sold. Given how efficient and brutal the hand to hand violence in Drive was, this could end up being an awesome and stylish martial arts film.

I just read about this on The Playlist (http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/first-look-at-ryan-gosling-in-only-god-forgives-the-weinsteins-vod-label-radius-pick-up-rights-to-the-film). I think it sounds like it has great promise. Another film I need to add to my list of most anticipated.

Nah, it's cool. It's just a more thorough plot outline, it doesn't really give anything away. Besides, I'm not obsessed about not seeing spoilers like some people.

For example, my brother in law won't even watch a trailer for any film he's interested in seeing. He's afraid it will spoil something or otherwise prejudice his viewing experience.

Anyways...Only God Forgives looks very promising.....and I still need to see Valhalla Rising.

I haven't, but I've seen cover of the DVD 100 times, I always thought it was documentary for some reason...lol.
